At the 8th International Conference on Computational and Mathematical Biomedical Engineering (CMBE24), Nerea Arrarte Terreros was awarded the International Journal for Numerical Methods in Biomedical Engineering (IJNMBE) Best Doctoral Thesis in Biomedical Engineering Award for her thesis titled: Imaging and modelling in acute ischemic stroke: Quantifying thrombus and residual blood flow characteristics.
Nerea accepted the award with the following response:
“Thank you to the CMBE organizers for this year’s great conference! I was glad to see familiar faces and connect with researchers working in similar topics, but also with those working in totally different topics and sharing similar methodologies. I am honored for the PhD thesis award and would like to thank the organizers and reviewers, the International Journal for Numerical Methods in Biomedical Engineering, and all the people that supported me during my PhD journey. I am looking forward to the next CMBE edition!”
